Web design

I am skilled in creating high quality websites within short timescales. Experienced in both XHTML and CSS I aim to create accessible sites for all.

Email marketing

Creating email newsletters are a specialised science. I'm experienced in creating effective email campaigns, high on open rates and low on unsubscribes.

Content management

I have experience of working with content management systems (CMS) on many types of platform. These include your typical business website through to forums and blog.

E-Commerce

I consider online sales a specialty. My simple process of good navigation, efficient search and banners will help optimise conversions on any site.

Pay Per Click (PPC)

I am experienced in PPC on all major search engines including Google Adwords, Bing and Yahoo. I am also skilled in the necessary reporting and data analysis.

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is a new practice capable of producing high amounts of exposures. I have experience in affiliates from both the merchant and the publisher side.

I'm skilled in project management with experience of coordinating outsourced companies. I work well to deadlines and strive to reach projects on budget.

I design and develop search engine friendly websites. Alongside this I have experience of link building, keyword analysis and writing content for SEO.

TotalPDA website

TotalPDA are now on the second evolution of their website.  The current website is built on the OsCommerce shopping platform and features many high end customisations including filters, banner management and various SEO enhancements

I designed the site in Photoshop and then supplied the relevant artwork for an outsourced agency to develop.

Dyson Deals website

Dyson Deals was developed primarily to experiment with data feeds and SEO techniques. All though the site is still in its infancy sales have started grow at a healthy pace alongside a growth in traffic.

Dyson Deals is built on a template, which has been highly customised to suit the product and the objective. As with many of the other sites a mixture of PHP and Photoshop were involved to obtain the look and feel.

Torrance Parish Church

Torrance Parish Church required a website that builds on their core value of belief and community. The solution a Wordpress based CMS, which allow the publishers easy control over the social site.

I designed the website using Photoshop, which was then sliced up accordingly and translated in css based templates.

I designed the business cards to be functional, yet build on the TotalPDA brand.

I am responsible for the design of all adverts insuring the document is print ready and delivered on time.

Vodafone microsite

TotalPDA works closely with many large corporate partners.

In this instance Vodafone required a microsite to sell TomTom satnav at a reduced rate to its staff.

Panix Media

Panix Media was created to offer web design services to small Glasgow businesses during my spare time. As my responsibilities at TotalPDA increased my spare time decreased putting a stop to freelance web design.

I now pass all leads generated from this website to a friend who runs a Glasgow web studio.

Deayton’s Camera Shop

Deayton’s camera shop is a small family run business based in Glasgow.  Deaytons have seen an increase in enquiries and portrait booking since the site’s launch.

I designed and developed the small promotional website using Wordpress CMS, which allows the employees of Deaytons to change text, add images and update prices easily.

Toy Hype

ToyHype is a toy news blog, which generates revenue through affiliate commissions and advertising sales.  The website is used by partners for fast exposure to the online community and for email harvesting via competitions and incentives.

Cuddly Kingdom is a family run soft toy and gift store based in Glasgow

I designed and built the website, but over time have moved into a consultancy roll offering direction and guidance

Overview: TotalPDA is a retailer of brand named PDAs and GPS with online, telesales and reseller divisions. My role involved the generation of sales through online and offline marketing for all of these departments and could take the form of anything from email campaigns to dedicated websites.
Regular day's duties at TotalPDA would involve:
  • Design, transmission and analysis of both email campaigns.
  • Content management of the online store
  • Banner, layouts and landing page design.
  • Management of affiliate tools i.e. Trade Doubler and Amazon
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO) and link building.
  • Pay per click (PPC) campaigns including Gogle Adwords, Bing and Yahoo
  • Design for print including magazine advertisements.
  • Micro site design and development were appropriate.
